Vocational education and the Sciences: where are we?
Vocational education and the sciences elicit much controversy. The debate is wide ranging: why is there a shortage of engineers and scientists; how can we attract more females to STEM subjects; why, when employers persistently complain about the shortage of engineers, are the relative wages slow to change? and other questions. The event is organised jointly by SKOPE and The Gatsby Foundation. This seminar will be of interest to policy specialists, practitioners, students and academics who would like to contribute to the discussions about vocational education and the sciences.
