Helen's current work draws together her research interests - in the responses of universities to funding changes for the sector and its students and the policy implications of their resulting actions - with her previous professional experience in university communications and then undergraduate admissions. She is conducting research for Prof Roger Brown towards his next book, which looks at the marketisation of higher education in the UK over the past 30 years, and acts as a consultant to individual institutions, in areas of student recruitment, marketing and the costing and pricing of degrees.
