Prof Ewart Keep contributes to the Edge Foundation’s debate on the first principles of vocational education in England

In an effort to bring together the debate and discussion on the philosophy of vocational education in England, The Edge Foundation (@ukedge) has conducted a series of consultations and roundtable discussions, bringing together members of the academic community , and policy practitioners alike.

The Edge Foundation (@ukedge) published a report on the 27th of June, 2018 which brings together these contributions including that made by professor Ewart Keep. In this publication, Prof Keep reflects on the different purposes that vocational education can serve, and that ‘we must get away from the administrative neatness of trying to place all vocational learning into the same box’.
